Q: Is there an age limit to participate?

Our programs are open to youth and young adults of all backgrounds! Some opportunities, like mission trips, may have age requirements for safety reasons, but there are plenty of ways to get involved at any age.

Q: How can I volunteer if I can’t travel?

Not all impact happens on the ground! You can support AFnet from wherever you are—whether it’s through online advocacy, fundraising, or helping to spread awareness in your community.

Q: What should I expect on a mission trip?

A mission trip with AFnet is life-changing! You’ll engage in community service, leadership training, church planting efforts, and hands-on projects that bring hope to local communities. Expect to step outside your comfort zone, meet incredible people, and see the impact of your work firsthand.

Q: Are my donations to AFnet tax deductable?

Yes. AFnet is a registered 501C3 and all donations are tax deductible. Receipts are issued promptly and a report of donations throughout the year are mailed in January the following year.

Q: How long do mission trips last?

Trips typically range from one to three weeks, depending on the destination and the type of work involved.

Q: What kind of support will I receive before and during the trip?

We provide pre-trip orientation, packing lists, cultural training, and a leadership guide to help you prepare. During the trip, our team will be there every step of the way to ensure your safety and experience.

Q: How can my church get involved?

Churches can partner with AFnet by sending volunteers, supporting mission projects, or adopting a local initiative. Connect your church to be part of a movement that’s changing lives.

Q: What does an AFnet ambassador do?

Ambassadors use their voice and platform to spread AFnet’s mission. This could be through social media, organizing events, or rallying support for specific projects.

AFnet connects you with a dynamic community through leadership events, mission trips, online forums, and cross-church partnerships. Whether you’re a volunteer, church leader, or ambassador, you’ll build meaningful relationships and expand your impact.

Strategically mobilize church planting initiatives
Developing and promoting more effective in-service training programs for African Christian leaders
While promoting that the churches serve as Channels of Hope to those suffering from, and/or affected by the AIDS Pandemic.

We are committed to seeing that the Church in Africa function together in Unity; effectively networking and strategically partnering towards these objectives:

To see as a minimum priority, the initiating of pioneer church planing movements within every major ethno linguistic people group in Africa.
To see the establishment of a saturation church planting movement in every country in Africa.
To see African leaders more effectively equipped and trained for the task of Christian ministry.
To address, with Christ-like compassion, pressing social needs; such as the plight of - especially children - but also those others suffering from HIV / AIDS, as well as those trapped in cycles of misery and poverty in Africa. And,
To facilitate indigenous missions mobilization initiatives among selectively identified Unreached Peoples groups, such as the Yao of Malawi.
